How do I know I am in perimenopause?
While blood tests for FSH and LH can help stage your periomenopause, assessment of reproductive stage is purely clinical ( ie your particular group of symptoms, will tell us) Book a Hormone Assesment
What are the symptoms of perimenopause?

You are probably in perimenopause If you are 35-55 and have a group of new onset symptoms such as:

Allergies
Anxiety
Feelings of Dread or anxiety (often a very physical anxiety)

What do you actually do?

I use herbs and nutrients to balance out your hormones and reduce your symptoms while we work on your diet and mindset to make lasting change.

What herbs might help?

There is a huge list of herbs that may help, some of them might help with symptoms others at a deeper level. I use herbs in a very personalised way, matching your particular group of symptoms, your constitution factors that are impacting and your hormonal stage to blend a formula just for you!

Why do I need supplements -shouldn't I get everything out of my diet?

Yes! we “should” get everything out of our diet. However many years of stress, poor diet, pharmaceutical meds (some of which reduce nutrient levels) can leave us lacking in important nutrients.

Having said that I am always very judicious with supplements and do as much as possible with diet, It is always my aim to get you off all herbs and supplements prior to wrapping up your program. sometimes we find that keeping a magnesium supplement in the mix is enough and sometimes women are off everything. Othertimes we need to continue for a while longer before this aim is achieved.

The Metabolic Balance Programs are food only, so if you would prefer a supplement free program consider this.

Do I have to work on me?

YES! this time of life is absolutely transformational, We are in hormonal reverse from the move from girlhood to puberty, and dealing with the (reproductive) lifetime of stress, and hurts before getting there helps post menopause be a joyous fun time!

What does stress have to do with it?

EVERYTHING!! Stress hormones are intricately mixed up with the reproductive hormones, thyroid hormones and sugar balance. When you are stressed or have had chronic stress though out your life, it can make your perimenopause much more symptomatic.
